I’ve been running for weeks All the people started watching for me out on the streets I’ve been working my feet they’ve been treating me like some sort of celebrity run for your lives there’s no time for having fun I’ve been running for my life since it was 1981 Hey! You might feel a burn at the bottom of your thighs but that won’t be a bother ‘cuz we’re running for our lives I’ve been creating a buzz this must be what it feels like to be a cheetah on drugs I’ve been sweating it out All the people want to know what I’m all about run for your lives there’s no time for having fun I’ve been running for my life since it was 1981 Hey! You might feel a burn at the bottom of your thighs but that won’t be a bother ‘cuz we’re running for our lives I'm running I'm running I'm running I can't stop (X2) I’ve been labelled a mess I don’t care because there’s nobody that I must impress I’ve been caring much less and that’s okay because I wasn’t destined for success run for your lives there’s no time for having fun I’ve been running for my life since it was 1981 Hey! You might feel a burn at the bottom of your thighs but that won’t be a bother ‘cuz we’re running for our lives I'm running I'm running I'm running I can't stop (X4)

Do you remember when the floor was lava only the sofa was safe to travel When we were young we were made of steel Nobody told us how we should feel Imagination was running wild All the adults were in such denial Take me back home (X2) It was with you when I felt on fire A burning sensation is a strange desire We talked about nothing like it meant everything Oh what a pleasure it was to hear you sing Take me back home (X2) Do remember when the floor was lava only the sofa was safe to travel we took out the cushions and built a palace that was the day when we found what love was Take me back home (X4)

Boy: Hey Uncle Uncle: Yes? Boy: Can you tell me about the future? Uncle: Sure I can, what about it? Boy: Well, umm what’s it going to be like? Uncle: Ah see well I’m not a time traveller but I would imagine that it might go something like this In the future there will be so much technology everywhere we go will be like living in japan but we won’t have flying cars we’ll have jetpacks strap it to your back like a backpack never going back jack if you wanna have friends, you’re gunna have to buy a jetpack because you’ll never be able to make friends if you don’t have a jetpack In the future there will be a big bang and everybody will gather around wondering what they heard but you’ll never understand until you see it it will become a big government secret and the conspiracy theories will start floating around the truth will never be found Unfortunately the truth will never be found but at least you have a jetpack There will be love There will be hate The sun will rise The moon will fade In one hundred years This will all be changed We’ll be in the clouds Watching everything Boy: Hey Uncle can you tell me more about the future Uncle: Umm, well yeah of course, what about it? Boy: Umm are there going to aliens and robots? or is it going to be like the end of the world? Uncle: ha no it’s not going to be the end of the world but there might be aliens and robots In the future we will finally find proof of aliens existing on mars they all had green skin and their body shape was really thin just like the ones you’ve seen on x-files and they say you never learn anything from watching the TV Moulder was right if only Skully would believe but she never did (Boy: What’s X-files?) Nevermind kid In the future there will be robots with emotions robots in the sky and robots in the ocean they’ll be human looking robots and then robot looking humans already the future sounds like it’s going to be confusing but never fear my dear because luckily we won’t be here we will only live 100 years MAX unless scientist create some kind of immortality drink (oh yeah, good point) There will be love There will be hate The sun will rise The moon will fade In one hundred years This will all be changed We’ll be in the clouds Watching everything There will be love In the future (repeat)

We lay upon the grass and stare into the stars we wonder what they mean we wonder who we are we’re nothing but a spec in this universe there’s more to life than death and there’s more to birth I am at a loss and you should know I never lose everybody has a path I just don’t know which to choose If I lived in a fairy tale I'd know exactly where to go everybody gets what they need at least that is what we're told Just rest your head We don't know who we are yet Just rest your head We don't know what happens next We are the kings and queens we are covered in our jewels we like to cause a fuss and break all the rules it might seem like we’re tough but we're always skin and bones we're bulletproof until we’re left alone there’s no slowing down we live a paced life I put my head in my hand and I scream and when I close my eyes everything disappears I explore my mind become a pioneer It feels as if I can't move fast enough travelling light speed through this galactic stuff Clouds of matter seem far away to touch but only because of the shields we put up So I can breath easier knowing that I'm free from the earth's atmosphere and it may seem weird to pierce an old man's beard riding a horse through space but at least we're not cosmic waste Just rest your head We don't know who we are yet Just rest your head We don't know what happens next Just rest your head Just rest your head We don't know who we are yet

We’re on a motorcycle We’re on a motorbike We live life in the fast lane and we don’t take advice We always stick together We never lose a fight and in the nicer weather We stay out late at night Hey, we’re rebels maybe we’re made of metal We’ve fought a lot of battles We’re on a different level Hey, we’re rebels We’ll never ever settle (you look like a young james dean) Purely coincidental we are the young and restless so immature like children made monumental messes we climb on top of buildings and when the lightning crashed we went to chase the thunder after the storm had passed onto our next adventure We smoke a cigarette and then we flick it out We don’t care what they’re thinking That’s what we’re all about We don’t conform to society We will do as we please and we won’t listen to them we won’t submit on our knees Hey, we’re rebels maybe we’re made of metal We’ve fought a lot of battles We’re on a different level Hey, we’re rebels We’ll never ever settle (you look like a young Janis Joplin) Purely coincidental we are the young and restless so immature like children made monumental messes we climb on top of buildings and when the lightning crashed we went to chase the thunder after the storm had passed onto our next adventure hey world here we are (X4) we are the young and restless so immature like children made monumental messes we climb on top of buildings and when the lightning crashed we went to chase the thunder after the storm had passed onto our next adventure (X2)

Where’s my family Where’s my friends I want to become good again All my days wasted away but I have made a plan this time I’m ready for everything I’ve left behind I’m sorry, I wasn’t right inside my mind Step back and count to five man this is a rude awakening I woke up on an island and now I’m on a boat back home can’t wait until I get there there’s going to be a party I heard it from an angel She had white wings and a halo Unlike anything you’ve ever seen it’s almost like I was in a dream and everything became clear I’m not ready to disappear Where’s my family Where’s my friends I want to become good again All my days wasted away but I have made a plan this time I’m ready for everything I’ve left behind I’m sorry, I wasn’t right inside my mind feeling good I feel alive man I feel my senses kicking in they’re tingling just like spiderman Just call me Peter Parker City scape is now in my vision I’m thinking like “what am I missing” and then I remember "oh yeah" what I am missing is you You are the key ingredient to my strategic plan I’ll have to show you the blueprints to help you understand We’re going to have a party We’re going to have a party We’re going to have a party This is a rude awakening We’re going to have a party We’re going to have a party We’re going to have a party This is a rude awakening We’ll get drunk off bacardi We’ll get drunk off bacardi We’ll get drunk off bacardi and then we’ll regret everything We’re going to have a party We’re going to have a party We’re going to have a party This is a rude awakening (X2)

The sky was moving I swear I saw it A flash of lightning a distant comet The grass protects the insects beneath it The wind howls like a wolf at night The girls downstairs have a pillow fight but I’m distracted by the yellow lights Oh, mysterious Oh, I’m serious Oh, This universe Mysterious Oh, I’m serious Oh, This universe is I can hear the trees talk when I’m walking they whisper words into my ear As the city grows, they disappear Tiny little speck splattered raindrops Have fallen from the dark grey sky I tilt my head up and wonder why Oh, mysterious Oh, I’m serious Oh, This universe mysterious Oh, I’m serious Oh, This universe is We got a long way to go yet Is this the wrong way to blow it My mind is gone man I know it I’m taking time from my schedule Never feeling ready though Got to get it off my chest heart is beating steady though I'm breathing heavy oh, here we go I got survivors guilt 'cause I got it kind of easy And the world may be mysterious but it must want to see me Be free and succeed cause these people need me They please me and let me just be me  They greet me and treat me and never get greedy And I don’t think I’ll ever get it you feel me Oh, mysterious Oh, I’m serious, oh Oh, mysterious Oh, I’m serious Oh, This universe is Mysterious I’m serious This universe is Mysterious I’m serious This universe is

I’m a little bit scared I don’t know what to do There’s giants up above me But all I can think about is how I can save you I might go out on a limb Step out of my comfort zone I’m just trying to win I think I should have chose a different difficulty setting You’ve already made it to level nine don’t quit it The girl you’re looking for is waiting in the castle Take down the giants so that you bring her back home Don’t even think about going near that reset button You are the chosen one, everybody knows about it this has become a video game revolution It’s all become so surreal Feels like I’m in the game I must keep pushing forward or I might risk losing everything I've got my sword and my shield now I’m ready to fight If I stick to the plan I might be able to finally get some sleep tonight You’ve already made it to level nine don’t quit it The girl you’re looking for is waiting in the castle Take down the giants so that you bring her back home Don’t even think about going near that reset button You are the chosen one, everybody knows about it this has become a video game revolution I am the giant and you are the peasant you’re not making my life too pleasant you see there’s nothing you can do to defeat me Your sword does not intimidate me Why don’t you surrender and accept me as your king I will not have you be held against anything this is not a question this is a demand If you want to live you better kneel where you stand You’ve already made it to level nine don’t quit it The girl you’re looking for is waiting in the castle Take down the giants so that you bring her back home Don’t even think about going near that reset button You are the chosen one, everybody knows about it this has become a video game revolution (X2)
